The Black GloveFirst, I'd like to thank MasterSade for introducing me to this elegant little piece. The Black Glove is the BEST single film I have seen showing the true nature of BDSM. Although short at only 30 minutes, it will NOT disappoint! Maria Beatty is a real life submissive who has written and starred in this black and white, artistically done excursion into the submissive psyche. Maria is treated to several different activities, most of which are performed by the majestic Mistress Morgana. Just some of the fetishes presented include high heel worship, wax play, and breath control. And the best part about it is that this is REAL. And this is NO smut film. No "bow-chika-wow-wow" music. Welcome to the very first installment of Nathan Darkfall's BDSM Media Reviews. This is where I will present a review of some movie, book, web site, etc. related to BDSM in some way. And no, this doesn't mean I'm going to go rampant with porno's, porn sites, or erotica. Some of these will be mainstream, but perhaps items that you aren't aware of. Each week, I will present a new review. All reviews will be archived on the Rubicon site.
Since I was asked to do this last week, but I am just now getting to it on Sunday (okay, now who's gonna punish me?), I will present two reviews this time. I hope that this is enough to please everyone. :)
Dee Snider's Strangeland

From the mind of Dee Snider, former lead singer of the 80's metal band Twisted Sister, comes a tale of horror in which a body modification aficionado (Dee Snider) uses the Internet to lure teenagers into his basement of spiritual enlightenment, or chamber or horrors...you decide. He unwittingly kidnaps the daughter of a detective and so the hunt begins for the mysterious, sadistic Captain Howdy. Fueled by a furious heavy metal soundtrack, this movie proves to be a disturbing journey into the realm of body modification.
Sorry kids, this ain't safe, sane, or consensual, but it's still rather fun for the serious sadist or masochist.
I personally like this movie because of the villain, Carlton Hendricks (a.k.a. Captain Howdy). His look is a true work of sadomasochistic art with the entire right side of his body from head to toe tattooed in a sharp, dark tribal pattern and numerous piercings everywhere, from his face to his...you know. His long, red hair further accents his sleek and slender canvas. And his attitude is one of calm, serene insanity as he spouts poetry and philosophy while preparing to introduce his victims to the wonderful world of body modification. Imagine young Genevieve, locked in an iron cage, naked with iron manacles on her wrists and ankles, her mouth sewn shut so she cannot scream while Captain Howdy works his magic fingers and piercing needles.

Galaxy Policewoman Kate goes undercover (literally) to capture a group of rapists and sadists. However, when she becomes the honorary pet of one of them, she begins to feel devoted, forgetting her mission and losing herself in this world of bondage and submission. Vol. 1 sets up the story and has a small bit of bondage, while Vol. 2 involves Kate being brought to the hideout and trained by her master. This is a lighthearted little story for the most part with a lot of action and a number of laughs, though not entirely happy in the end. If you just want to see it for the sex, rent Vol. 2. If you actually want to know what's going on in the story, rent them both. I DO recommend this as it shows the devotion of a slavepet to her master along with enough bondage and torture to please most.
